Built at the
intersection
of two markets.

Dave Carter Group was founded on a quiet observation: capital moves faster than wisdom. Between the United States and West Africa, sophisticated investors deserved advisors who understood both worlds — not just the transactional mechanics, but the cultural, regulatory, and human dimensions that shape every deal.

Why this firm exists.

For over two decades, we watched capital flow between continents carry more risk than it should have — and deliver less wisdom than clients deserved.

Nigerians abroad wanted to invest back home but lacked trusted eyes on the ground. American investors sensed opportunity in Lagos but had no framework to evaluate it. Family offices exploring frontier markets needed advisors who spoke both the language of institutional capital and the realities of emerging economies.

Dave Carter Group was created to close these gaps — not with another platform or product, but with something older and rarer: trusted advisory. The kind that sits on your side of the table, protects you from deals you shouldn't do, and points toward the ones worth doing.

In 2022, we formalized this work through Dave Carter Group LLC — a Wyoming-based advisory firm that serves high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and institutions. The firm operates independently of our Nigeria practice, with a clear mandate: advisory only. No conflicts. No transactional pressure. Just intelligence, discipline, and the long view.

Five principles
that shape every engagement.

01

Restraint over rhetoric.

The best advisors speak less and listen longer. We rarely push clients toward action — and we turn down engagements where we'd have to.

02

Alignment over access.

We work with a small number of clients, deeply. A crowded roster dilutes attention, and attention is the product we actually sell.

03

Clarity over complexity.

Real estate shouldn't require a translator. Our role is to distill complexity into decisions — and disclose what we don't know.

04

Discretion as default.

Client information, holdings, and conversations stay confidential — not because we're asked to, but because it's the only way to do this work.

05

Decades, not quarters.

We measure success in client relationships that last generations — not transactions that close this quarter. Patience compounds.

Advisory meeting

How we actually work.

I.

Discovery Call

A 30-minute conversation, no obligation. We learn about your objectives, constraints, and existing relationships. You learn how we think and whether we're the right fit.

II.

Scope & Engagement

If we proceed, we draft a clear engagement letter outlining deliverables, timeline, and fees. Nothing ambiguous. No hourly creep. You know exactly what you're paying for.

III.

Advisory Work

We deliver the substance — research, analysis, recommendations, or ongoing counsel. Direct communication with principals, not filtered through associates.

IV.

Long-Term Relationship

Most engagements evolve. A project becomes an ongoing advisory retainer. A single question becomes a multi-year strategic relationship. That's by design.

Behind the firm,
a quiet practitioner.

Kola Adisa

Founder & Principal Advisor Dave Carter Group LLC

Kola Adisa has spent over two decades working across the real estate markets of Nigeria and the United States. What began as a Lagos-based property advisory in 2004 grew — through relationships, discipline, and the slow accumulation of trust — into a cross-border practice serving clients in both hemispheres.

As a licensed New York REALTOR®, Kola personally handles brokerage engagements for select clients navigating Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Long Island markets. These engagements are conducted under his individual license, separate from the advisory services of Dave Carter Group LLC.

He holds memberships with the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), the New York Real Estate Institute (NYREI), the Staten Island Board of REALTORS® (SIBOR), and the Association of Estate Agents of Nigeria (AEAN) — a combination that reflects his commitment to dual-market competence.

His advisory work has guided capital flows, structured cross-border investments, and counseled families through generational wealth decisions. He speaks rarely about the work publicly — most of what he does doesn't belong in a press release.

Good advisory is mostly invisible. You'll know we did our job not by what happened — but by what didn't. The deal you didn't do. The mistake you didn't make. The call you didn't have to take at 2am.
